3
PRESS THE HOME KEY TO ENSURE YOU\'RE BACK AT THE PAGE OF DEFAULT-INSTALLED APPS ON YOUR IPHONE.
4
TAP THE "SETTINGS" APP/BUTTON ON YOUR IPHONE.
5
TAP THE "GENERAL" BUTTON TO PULL UP A LIST OF AVAILABLE PLACES.
6
TURN ON BLUETOOTH ON YOUR IPHONE. This will cause your iPhone to now be discoverable.
7
TAP THE DEVICE NAME THAT YOU\'D LIKE TO PAIR WITH YOUR IPHONE AND THAT SHOULD SAY "NOT PAIRED" ON THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF THE DEVICE-NAME\'S BOX.
8
ENSURE THE CODE OF THE DEVICE YOU\'RE TRYING TO PAIR MATCHES THE CODE OF THE PUSH NOTIFICATION ON YOUR IPHONE. This will make sure you aren't pairing with any rogue Bluetooth networks nearby to the vicinity.

TIPS
Sometimes the iPhone can't pair one phone with another. In this case, turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone. Scan for devices on the other phone. At which point, you can try and pair the item with your device from the other phone. Come back and you should see your phone ready to pair with just a code-verification remaining.
All iPod touches have Bluetooth capability and run on the same system settings as an iPhone. Although most phones and touchscreen devices have ways to edit the name of the Bluetooth device, the iPod touch and iPad don't have a way to customize the Bluetooth device-name. Recognize these pleasant differences, if you own these other devices.
If both items are phones, you'll need to keep both phones nearby to ensure the codes you receive are the same. You don't have to write down the codes, but be sure of these codes being the same, to avoid accidental pairing with other rogue Bluetooth network devices nearby.
THINGS YOU\'LL NEED
