How to Make Apple and Raspberry Crumble (with Pictures)

This lovely tangy family dessert is full of goodness. It is best prepared in a gratin or oven dish no larger than 20 cm (8 in) long. As an alternative to raspberries, other berries such as blackberries can be used. SERVES 4-6
INGREDIENTS

-4 Granny Smith or other apples
A pinch of cinnamon

tbsp water

tbsp rolled oats

tbsp plain wholemeal flour

tbsp desiccated coconut
2
tbsp chopped almonds
1
tbsp polyunsaturated margarine
1
tbsp honey

g (7 oz) raspberries
STEPS

PEEL, QUARTER AND CORE APPLES AND PLACE IN A SAUCEPAN WITH 3 TBSP WATER AND CINNAMON. Cover tightly and cook on medium heat until apples have softened.

MEANWHILE MIX TOGETHER BY HAND THE ROLLED OATS, FLOUR, DESICCATED COCONUT, ALMONDS, MARGARINE AND HONEY.

PREHEAT OVEN TO 210C/4

SPOON COOKED APPLE INTO GRATIN OR OVEN DISH. Top with raspberries and flatten fruit using a spatula. Spread crumble over layer of fruit and pat down a little. Place dish in oven and cook for about 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
TIPS
Try serving with ice cream.
